Alexis Raphael (she/her) is a Jewish vocalist, theatre actor, and artist, hailing from and currently residing in Toronto, Ontario! Beginning her professional training in voice at the age of 12, Alexis has studied pop, jazz, musical theatre, and classical voice with a number of esteemed coaches, including Jonathan Monro, Elaine Overholt and Chris Tsujiuchi, among many others. She performed in choirs, musical theatre productions, and at festivals in Toronto throughout her high school years, and graduated from the Music Theatre Performance Program at St. Lawrence College (SLC) in 2020. Select Credits at SLC include: The Addams Family (gender-bent Lucas Beineke), Sweet Charity (Daddy Brubeck/Fandango Dancer), and Jesus Christ Superstar (Priest #3/Ensemble).

Alexis has taken time since graduating to continue expanding her horizons as an artist, taking part in workshops with Natalie Weiss, Kimberly Grigsby, David Connolly, and many others. Extremely passionate about creating a more inclusive space within the theatre industry and community, Alexis collaborated with EveryBody Onstage to work towards ending fat-phobia in the theatre industry, opening up about her struggles as a curvy woman navigating theatre school and the realities of disordered eating and its impact on young performers. She has also performed in online productions with companies like Quirky Cabaret and Black Cat Theatre, and honed her skills as a makeup artist and visual artist during her time outside of school!
